A VIRTUAL CREATIVE EXPERIENCE FOR BLACK WOMEN

Healing is an Art®: Rage Edition

RAGE: An intense emotional response to injustice, oppression, violation, and the accumulation of pain that has gone unacknowledged.

For Black women, rage may hold the weight of personal experiences, collective histories, unspoken grief, violated boundaries, and the exhaustion of navigating systems that demand our survival while denying our humanity. Rage can be a signal, a refusal, a form of resistance, and an invitation to listen to what hurts, what matters, and what must change.

Join us as we hold:

  • Rage without judgement. An opportunity to acknowledge your rage and other emotions without minimizing it, apologizing for it, or being defined by it.

  • Creative expression. A space to explore what words alone cannot capture through art and other expressive practices. No artistic experience required.

  • Exploration and release. An invitation to get curious about what lives beneath your range, what it may be asking you to notice, and what you are ready to put down.

  • Permission to take up space. You don't have to be the strong one here. You can show up exactly as you are.

  • Community. A space with other Black women where your experience can be witnessed, your feelings honored, and your humanity affirmed.

Registration is offered through a pay what you can model. Choose the contribution that feels accessible to you, whether that's the Community Rate ($5), Sustaining Rate ($15), or Pay-It-Forward Rate ($25). Regardless of your contribution, you'll receive the same experience.

UPCOMING SUPPORT GROUP

Healing is an Art®: Sacred Space for System-Impacted Families

When someone you love is incarcerated, you carry something that most people around you never see. There's no funeral and no casserole. People ask about it for a little while, and then they stop, and you learn not to bring it up.

This group is for you: partners, spouses, parents, siblings, and anyone whose life has been shaped by a loved one's incarceration.

What this space holds:

  • Ambiguous and disenfranchised grief. The loss the world doesn't always see, and doesn't always let you name.

  • Anger, ambivalence, and love, all at once. You can hold every one of those at the same time here without anyone asking you to pick.

  • Gentle creative expression. A way toward what words can't quite reach, and you don't have to be an artist for it.

  • Community. People who already understand what you're carrying, so you can stop explaining.
