HEALING IS AN ART

Sometimes healing happens better when your hands have something to do.

My expressive art workshops make space to reflect, connect, and make something, without needing to be an artist or having to know what you want to say before you get there.

Each one brings creative practice together with guided reflection, in a room where what you make matters a good deal less than what happens while you're making it.

A DIFFERENT WAY TO GATHER

You don't have to sit in a circle and know exactly what to say.

Some things are easier to get near when there's less pressure to explain them.

A workshop gives you something to do while you notice what comes up. You might write, or paint, or cut things apart and put them back together, or respond to a prompt, or make something that only makes sense to you and never has to make sense to anyone else.

You can take part without having the right words ready.

This might be for you if:

  • You want space to reflect without signing up for ongoing therapy

  • You think better when your hands are busy

  • You want real connection without being asked to open a vein

  • You're curious about expressive arts and don't consider yourself creative

  • You want something that feels intentional rather than performed

  • You're looking for a different kind of group room than the ones you've been in

Come as you are. The art does not have to be good, and the sharing does not have to be polished.

HOW IT WORKS

Creative practice gives the conversation somewhere else to go.

These are facilitated experiences that use creative practice to support reflection, connection, and emotional exploration. I hold the room, and I keep it steady.

This is not an art class. I'm not teaching you to paint correctly, and nobody's going home with a finished piece for the wall.

What I'll offer instead is a starting place. A prompt, or an image, or a question. A piece of music. A writing exercise. A material to work with, and an invitation to pay attention to what comes up while you use it.

Then you make something from there, and we see what it has to say.

You never have to make something impressive. The point is what happens while you're making it.

How to Get Started

You do not need to know exactly what you want to work on before you reach out. If something feels like it needs to change, we can start there.

The first step is a free 15-minute consultation. Fill out the contact form and I’ll follow up by email so we can find a time to talk. During the call, you can tell me a little about what brings you here, ask questions, and get a feel for what working together might be like.
